Genesis of Agape Kashmir

In October 1997 God placed an incredible burden on Pastor Neethiraj‘s heart to share God’s love to the people of Kashmir. So, in May of 1998, he left his settled life as a pastor at Shiloh Church, Chennai (South India), obeying God’s call. Together with his wife and daughter, they traveled around 3,700 km from the southernmost to northernmost tip of India heeding the Lord’s call.

He arrived in Kashmir with little money and no knowledge of the local language but with an enormous burden to share God’s love. In 1999 Neethiraj registered “Agape Kashmir” in Srinagar, Kashmir.  He leaned onto God’s providence to protect and meet all their needs. God has guided and blessed him all these years to the current day by opening new avenues for sharing the Lord’s love, through divine appointments and divine providence.

One such providence is our charity that has grown substantially to help meet the needs of poor people in the valley and other parts of India.
