Our Charity

Our Charity

“Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.  The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.  The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.”   (Psalm 41: 1-3).

Agape Kashmir is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 2008 by Pastor (first name) Neethiraj. Our noble vision is to uplift the deprived, the destitute, those with disabilities, and to eradicate poverty through various programs in the areas of health, education, and child development. We strive to uplift the downtrodden, assist the disabled, provide healing streams for the sick and injured, provide assistance to those affected by social unrest and give aid to those affected by natural calamities–irrespective of caste, creed, color or religion.

Child Care:

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world”. (James 1:27)

Thousands of women and children in Kashmir are homeless and destitute as a result of its militancy.  The Lord spoke to our founder, Pastor Neethiraj in 1998 through the above passage and this became the foundational verse to fulfil the charity through Agape Kashmir.

Agape Kashmir Kids family was launched in 1999.  We cater to the needs of under privileged children. Our Agape Kashmir kids are growing wiser, maturing and finding favour with God. (Luke 5:52)

Poverty forces many school children to drop out without completing their education. In 2008, Agape Kashmir established an educational scholarship program to benefit these needy children.

Widows Welfare:

“Honor widows who are truly in need”. (1 Timothy 5:3)

God spoke to us in 1998 to start a widow’s welfare program through James 1:27. It’s obvious that without income, any finances or moral assistance, the outcome for widows in Kashmir could become a life of bondage or worse.

Thousands of widows are suffering in Kashmir for a variety of reasons, especially due to the militancy. Agape Kashmir launched a financial help program for destitute and poor older women.

Medical Welfare:

A Samaritan, as he travelled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. (Luke 10:33)

Kashmir is a mountainous region with difficult terrains which results in villages having no medical facilities. Agape Kashmir financially helps individual patients and the disabled who cannot afford treatment. We have conducted medical camps in the most remote areas of the mountains to meet their needs.

Poor Welfare:

“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Scripture says, “You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden” (Matthew 5;15).

Many poor and needy people approach us rather than seek help elsewhere because they know we are loving people of God which gives them confidence to come to us. We try to help those coming to us as our financial ability allows. But sometimes with a compassionate heart we take on even more debt to help those in need.

Blessing through Prayer:

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective”. (James 5:16)

Since prayer is the most crucial aspect of serving the people, Agape Kashmir sincerely prays for the peace and harmony of the people of Kashmir. Many people have been healed and delivered from the bondage of evil spirits through our prayers. We covet your prayers to continue this mission.
